Just getting our Bailey Moselle 2003 ready for first trip. When trying out the water heater it tripped the electric in the house. I think it is filling with water but don't know what to try next. Any ideas please?
You don't say what your setup at home is but you must make sure that you always fully uncoil your mains cable, because leaving it coiled can cause generation of back EMF that at best will trip the breaker, at worst destroy your electrical equipment!

If it is an electric heater it is likely to be an earth fault caused by a faulty element. However, this fault could be caused by damp ingress to the element during the winter rather than an unrepairable fault which would need a replacement element.
If it is caused by damp ingress this could be solved by drying out the element. There are ways of doing this electrically but I suggest you get an electrician to sort it out for you.

Hi dese, as posts above, would also check the eletrical connections in your Hook up cable/the plugs are wired the correct way, same with the plug from house, IF you have test meter test the Hook up cable for conductivity of the wires in cable(broken or cracked cable can let damp or water in and cause trip),If your are testing again, make sure the heater is full and is switched off before you plug in to your house,

If in Doubt Check it Out.
