Well we have now returned from our first weekend away in the van, after picking it up Friday from Grantham Caravans (very good people to deal with they even put a basket of flowers in the van for you) we went off to Woodland Waters at Ancaster (free 2 night stay from Grantham Caravans). I soon got used to the towing and the movement the van creates on the car. We found our pitch and all went well with leveling the caravan then came the awning a full size AwayDaze Torino, which after working the poles out and a little help from the man from the caravan next door went up quite well for our first time (the instructions with the awning were mostly terrible to the point of non existance). With sat came a trip to Grantham and a relaxing day. Sun brought with it that I dont want to go home the weather is too good feeling. Over all it went realy well, the car towed like a dream and the caravan was rock steady even when overtaking lorries! Now we cant wait till our next trip at Easter and the long may day bank holiday weekend (top end farm and old brick kilns). Thank you again fro all the help and advice everyone has given and to the man on the campsite for his help with the awning and to those at Grantham Caravans for the excellent service.
(P.S. the van still has no name but I'm sure it will by the end of April)!
