Hi all
I am new to all this so please point me in the right direction.
I have a 2003 Lunar Zenith Five and have very few problems with it.BUT on my last outing the electric heating ( Truma Ultraheat S3002EL / S5002EL ) stopped working.
It still works fine on gas but when switched to electric the green light on the control panel is no longer illuminated the fan still works fine but no heat ?
As anyone any ideas where the fault lies.
Thanks
------------- Tony

check the switch on the wall it should have a 10 amp fuse, possibly blown. check all the trips on your box. is your mains switched on at the panel?

i cant offer a great deal of help, But can you hear the heater click, just to prove the heater is getting a feed. it is very doutfull the element as given up, maybe the relays have given up,the contacts burn away, but they click anyway if you do have power to the panel, gary fits different relays in the panel which are better than the ones fitted. The fan will work regardless as it works on 12 volts.
Garys will certainly help you out when he see`s this post.
As michael says he is the man.

I have had the van serviced this afternoon and he did a couple of quick checks FOC and seems to think its the PCB.
It has power getting to it but not coming back out.
He said i am looking around £100 for a new one.

I have checked all the fuses and the trip switches and all ok. The switch still lights up red. I have traced power up to the PCB.
First, the Ultrahat does not have a red light on the control switch! or are you are talking of the mains isolation switch?
The water heater control switch is similar and does have a red light, your not using that are you?!
After that the most common reasons for no green light are first the isolation switch is faulty.
Easy way to check this is to connect live to heater from switch direct to the input side, if it works then get a new switch.
Second is a faulty control board, here I can help as my serviced and uprated boards are better and a lot cheaper.
Third and I've just come across this, a damaged track on the heaters control switch?
On the older square beige switches, there is a little paper label stuck to the pcb on the back of the switch, it's stuck over the tracks and it seems the glue has attacked the track and broken the circuit, either that or somehow the labels got damp and this has caused it .
I don't know if this is at all common but if that's the case then I can fix the switch a darn sight cheaper than buying a new one!

Hi Gary,
tried contacting you by email at arcsystems.biz but had no reply. I am also interested in buying a PCB from you for a truma 3002, I just wanted to know about the price and delivery etc.
cheers

For several reasons not least I was getting upwards of 100 a day!, answering emails has become a little bit over whelming!?
Likewise the landline number is 'on hold' due to the move and nowhere to actually connect it!, so only way to contact me for the time being is via the mobile number, 07901 544431.
So this number is very busy, but I do answer as many as I possibly can, if then I don't answer straight away, or it's engaged, give it while and try again. If you then end up ringing 'after hours' and I answer 'hello' and not 'arc systems' please start by saying you have been trying? and not just launch into it like it's the middle of the working day!!...you'll then find me far more responsive!!
Sorry to have to say all that but I'm fed up with phone calls at stupid o'clock with not as much as a by your leave when I'm gardening in the evenings or out shopping of a weekend or anything else people like to do in their spare time!!
So in answer to the question, I do these boards on a 'you send yours and I repair and upgrade it, I never mention prices on the net but suffice to say it's a lot less than new price but more important than that...better!
I also offer a deal on board upgrade plus one of my remote temperature sensors, again this works out a lot less than a new board alone and of course my advice comes free if your stuck

Simply answer to that Pearl is the Ultra-Heat electric heating will fit any Truma gas fire.
They actually only make one which is the 3002, they also make this as a pair of 3002's and that's called the 5002 or 5000
