you will be shocked to see thats how 90% of second hand cars on car sales are bought. I have several pals who are large dealers and they all trade out the cars that come in on PX sold at book price on colour and spec. then they are valeted and go up on sites with the usual speel known owner sold due to death in family etc etc.
I have seen six year old cars traded for 900 and are on the front for 2650 within a couple of days. the good dealers very rare sell a trade in on their own site. its not good to have the customer come back for an item and see their car marked up by a grand at times.
caravans and motor homes are no diff. they often buy first on make/model second on spec/colour third condition/miles and four on buying/sell on value price.
