years ago. too many for some members to recall, every trip away was followed with the return and application of the triangle sticker to the car/van/unit that showed where you had visited that holiday.
what happened to them ??? and the county logo/badge symbol on the caravan to show where you was from ???
seven hour drives to devon twelve to cornwall A406 through london over Kew Bridge for portsmouth or Tower bridge through Brixton for Brighton. so called happy days
It was the drivers that actually saluted the RAC and AA recovery man. The days of respect have well diminished. Regarding the the little triangular stickers, I remember them well and in the 1960's nearly everybody had at least one in their car. You also used to be able to get the same triangles in material and the emblem could be sewn on to a jacket or jeans. Yes, happy days for many and it would be nice if the little triangular could be re-introduced as I think a lot of people would actually buy them. I think the little triangular stickers went out with the comical cheeky naughty seaside post cards.
Get yourself up to date with a 50 sticker for the back and new gas mantles for the lighting. Time to stop wearing those flares as well.
come the revolutiion I will be incharge of the fashion police then we will be calling on you ! its not my fault they lost my file and would not give me parole.
When my mum and dad went to rallies (70s and 80s) we would be given a plaque with the date and place of the rally and my dad would put it on the side of the caravan wardrobe.
Funnily enough my OH and I were reminising last night about all the outfits we have had over the years (3 caravans, a trailer tent and lots of tents) and I wondered if my dad kept the plaques.

ah arrr wrong they saluted members to warn of police ahead. sorry yes the cards are back so we can live in hope.
Maybe I'm wrong then about the drivers saluting the AA & RAC patrol man, I was just saying it parrot fashion what my late father told me as this was just a little before my time ( if you get my drift ). We are members of the Coachman Owners Club and for the past six years that we have been members we always receive a plaque for each rally that we attend. Ours are just put in the drawer because if you put them up in the caravan and the time comes to to sell, then all your personal memories have then been sold on as well.
