Just wanted to get rid of the blue sad face.

When we had the caravan, we used a blow up Deluxe Aero bed. A triple layered queen size full bed.   It cost us £189. 11 years ago, and it is still as good as new today. We used to put the breathable groundsheet down first then put a tarp and a piece of carpet under the bed. we never felt cold and both of us suffer from bad backs. but this gave us a really good nights comfortable sleep.   These are still available but i do not know where from, or how much they are now.  But you will not regret buying one of these.

Doglotdogs, sorry, totally different subject but saw your reply on another thread several months ago and wanted to ask you where you got the fabric from for your homemade windbreaks?

we have used a two man pop up tent with a double air bed within for ages before getting the bed room annex. worked fine no need for the flysheet and once they are up just dropped the two poles and tent bed and all slide under caravan out of the way untill next night. airbed £20 tent £25 max tent has built in ground sheet and fly doors help with the night. warm, draught free, cheap and it works.

My teenage daughter drags her mattress off her bed as she says it's the only comfortable thing there is to sleep on as she has a bad back!  It's easy enough to put into the van for travelling but it does help that we live in a bungalow!

Depending how mobile the adults are (ie can they get up off the floor easily?), the self inflating camping mats are really comfy & feel warmer than airbeds.  They also roll up so are easy to store too.
