Hi I am looking for a lightweight awning but not a porch awning, the problem is everyone that I have looked at says that your depth from awning rail to floor must be 235cm - 250cm, and my Elddis Whirldwind Ex300 is 210cm up to 240cm but only in one spot, so we have been told that we cannot get one to fit it.  Our local shop said that it is because our caravan is a couple of years too old and from 2000 the depth is normally 235cm our caravan is 1997.  If anyone knows how to get round this problem I would be very grateful.

A 10cm block under the wheels would probably lift the 'van enough to do the job and would be fairly easy with a Kojack, otherwise run the 'van up on a couple of levelling ramps. In the worse case scenario the frame will slope back slightly but the hight of the 'van should be part of the A measurement and this would take into account the lack of height. Sorry if that does not sound too clear but I know what I mean but probably have not explained it too well!
