If anyone is travelling to North Wales/Anglesey - there are no roadworks from Queensferry onwards.

If you join the A55 from the M53 there are still major roadworks.

Thought this might help someone.

Thanks for that. Whereabouts are the roadworks? I'm going to Anglesey tomorrow, joining the A55 from the M55/M53, so if I can find an alternative route I will, but I'll be going really early in the morning so hopefully traffic won't be too bad anyway.

M55/M53 -  you might want to try M6/M56 and go through Queensferry to A55 - there are no roadworks there.

If you are going really early you may miss the roadworks but if you can find alternate route it would save you some time.

The weather promises to be good for Anglesey this weekend - and if it is anything to go by now - I hope it stays - I do wish I could move my desk outside though!

Sorry, I meant M56 not 55 - don't know where I got that from! lol

Looking at the map book the M56 onto the A494 through Queensferry seems to be the only reasonable alternative - and it might even be quicker as it seems to cut off a big curve of the M53/A55.
