just had a sargent AS 210 alarm fitted after having a window stolen from our van.
Any way for the last three nights the alarm has been going off at about midnight so i have to turn the alarm off i can leave the alarm on all day no probs.Having spoke to sargent alarms today they say there is some thing causing interfearence to the alarm which is setting it off and the only way to cure it is to find out what causing the interfearence . well i am thinking i now have a alarm which is no good as i cant cure the interfearence as its out of my power as it could be anything around me HELP what can i do
i had a problem some months back of the alarm going off for no reason, this was duing the day.i was outside standing next to the caravan and a car pulled up across the road.he locked his car with the key fob and as his lights lit up on the car my caravan alarm went off at the very same moment.not done it from that day or before.just a thought.

I think Michael may well have the answer. Is it the next door neighbour slamming a door closed which might be doing it and can you adjust the sensitiveness of the alarm. Does a taxi regularly deliver people nearby as it could be the cab radio setting it off. Could it be that the people that stole the wndow have return to try and get another one? Another answer might be to turn the van round to see it that makes a difference. You could always site out there at the time it usually goes off to see what might be happening.

don't have a tracker fitted
The reason I asked was I have a sim card tracker fitted in my van and the alarm kept going off. Sargents and I realised eventually it was this that was affecting the alarm. I moved it and now no problem.
radio interference can cause major problems.a friend got locked out of his car,AA said it was a mobile telephone mast near by.when we got our mover at first without knowing each time we used it at home to go away it set off the house alarm across the road.he had to have it changed on the frequency.
