The flow rate in the shower seems to be a bit slow and not that powerful and have a submersible water pump with a normal flow rate which I think is about 13 LPM (litres per minute). I have been informed that a normal rate pump is okay for 2 outlets which is the kitcken sink and wash basin but need a high flow rate pump with a flow rate of approx. 15 LPM or more if I want to operate a third outlet such as the shower due to the extra height that the water has to be pumped up to the shower head. Can anyone please offer any advice as to whether this is true that I need to exchange my water pump for one with a higher flow rating or not.

yes you need a higher delivery pump.

birder99:  I didn't mention that I had this problem in my previous caravan too and bought a new shower head but I didn't solve the problem. In a recent discussion I was advised to uprate the pump but thought I would ask advice on here first.

robin52:  It depends on what water system you have installed in your caravan as there are 2 systems. One system is pressurised by a single cold water pressure switch the same as mine and the other is activated by individual micro-switches at each tap. As you have problem with the sink tap only it could be down to a defective micro-switch.
