...and have a look a both Clubs' websites, and see which one "feels" right for you - I don't think one is "better" than the other, but my personal preference is for the Camping and Caravanning Club.

I suppose i will join, but will i get my monies worth?

I keep reading about the Towsure discount with CCC. But as a member of over twenty years I have yet to see it advertised in any CCC literature. Can you expand on this?

We have bought loads in our local Towsure over the last 3 years & had 5% discount. I can't find anything about Towsure on C&CC website on the members discount pages but the shop itself asks if you belong to a club & then take the 5% off. It comes up as Caravan Club. I think they'll give it to you if you're in Conway Owners Club too.

Opeth, We have taken advantage of Temporary Holiday Sites with C&CC which have been in the rally field of commercial sites but with full aceess to all facilities, at a third of the site costs eg we are having a week in Axminster with EHU for £101.50 (if you book direct with the site it would be £180) We've also been to a Bank Holiday Meet which was great fun. The committee had organised games for the kids & evening entertainment. I like being with the C&CC because of the mix of camping units - tents, trailer tents & caravans. Although we've recently switched to a caravan we previously had a folding camper so we tend to go to sites with facilities & if you look through the C&CC list of meets etc you'll be able to pick that kind of site out, or if you want to keep costs down you can go along to farmers fields & use your "own san". Its a great way to have cheap camping & be with like-minded people who adhere to the rules so everyone has a good time.
