i use a cheap camera tripod...£5.75 from argos. i bought a "u" clamp from a car exhaust centre for 80p and used that to attach the dish to the extendable centre shaft. the legs are in 3 telescopic sections, but i only extend the thickest sections so the dish sits about 3 feet from the ground. i drilled a hole just above the base of each leg and use 3 steel pegs to keep the whole thing in place.
never had no bother with it.
hope this helps,
simon.
------------- just cos you got the power, that don`t mean you got the right...
All last wee we used my friends satelite dish that is mounted on a tripod from a set of builders site lights...cost him 99p + postage off ebay and all he needed was a corner bracket from b and q for a quid...it looks the mutts and I am now on the look out for the same stand without the lights myself

Not wanting to appear rude or stupid, but why? I've used one for a couple of years now, and (pegged down) nothing has shifted it - it's done a perfect job, and it was a lot cheaper!

Nothing wrong with the alternatives as suggested above and not being snobbish but I'd like a nice lightweight stable easily adjustable tripod. I'll have a look on ebay.
I have a Maxview in my caravan that's stored in Europe and I'd like the same for my UK Van.
