Thanks Michael - the North East and Scotland seems to be a bit of a large area to be covered by just three people, is that right? The nearest one on there to us is Sheffield, which is an hour away - I'd kind of assumed they'd be in most big cities ...?

a good caravan engineer i use is VANTASTIC not sure if he's still doing it so you need to ask.

Hi white rose try this company I have used the once and they seem pritty good its a small local company based in Bingley, which is part of a large national group and they cover the north of England with mobil engineer the office no is 0845 481 0465 NCA Yorkshire Hope this helps you

Steve Mann from Ilkley does caravan services both at his workshop, and 'mobile'. They're a family run business, with premises at Caracars in Ilkley - and friendly to deal with too.

Oh dear! That was a bit of a technical failure on my part, wasn't it?! For some reason, I scrolled down on the outer box not the inner one and completely failed to see the one about a mile away from my door!! Thanks Cazzie - I needed that bit of help!

Thank you for the other recs - will also have a look at caravan dealers in Ilkley - hadn't thought of looking there ...
