Years ago we had a folding caravan which we loved but it reached the end of its life so we "upgraded" to a 2 berth abi monza mk 2 which again we love but the advantage the folder had was we could leave the bed down and still use the other end which had a table and seats for eating, very handy for us as we tend to get up have breakfast and are out all day.
We are now thinking of changing but we do have restrictions, money is one, hence and older van, but width is a big one, the monza is 2.1 mtrs and perhaps have only about another 4 inch to spare, length isn't a problem.
Have advertised the monza on a couple of sites in the hope someone will want to downgrade ie; monza plus £500 may buy a half decent van.
We do use ours an awful lot in fact we are on the way to Cornwall next week which is a 900 mile round trip.
If I had a shopping list I would list wishes for an ideal van in this order:
1) Width
2) ability to have a bed down at one end while having eating facilities at other - does not need to be a table, but seating for 2 is needed.
3) electric hook up
4) cooking facilities
5) hot and cold water
Thanks for the link, if i can't get a trade i may advertise it, can't be worth more than about £350 anyway, and then buy a suitable model - will do that when we get back from Cornwall - setting off in the morning
Edit: Just looked on the site, its a good reference, i like the search by layout, shame there is not an option for width but at least i can narrow it down.
Looks like I won't get a 2 berth with the layout i want ie; bed one end and seating at the other, so it will have to be a narrow 4 berth, may be struggling i guess.
