  hi all, never had a towing caravan before and was wondering what the cost of insurance will be on a older caravan, are you supposed to insure by law,or not.????

We're about £12/month to cover our 'crappy old van' - it cost us £1000 and we don't have that spare if it gets nicked. Also covered for damage it causes to other things - thought that would be important as new to towing...

I don't think by law you need to insure the van.

C&CC Club Care insurance for our 1998 £93 for the year. We've stayed with them for this year, they also covered a month Mar/Apr with no charge when we changed the caravan from a 1991.
