I knew I should have kept quiet. I have spoken to a local alko dealer who turned out to be an old friend. His advise was not to fit the AKS1300.

I have no desire to join Jim in another anti stabiliser war, we've had enough of them.

I have no intention of paying £250 for another stabiliser. I would sooner save it towards fitting an active device like ATC.

Tango, I agree with most of what you say. I had feared we wouldn't find any common ground. I much prefer a reasoned argument.
I don't think they will stop fitting stabilisers, any more than showers and microwaves - it's all extra profit. And of course there are comfort benefits with a stabiliser.

Yes!!! Two horses eating and tugging at hay, then trying to bite each other, then getting bulshy with each other certainly adds to the towing
experience, I stick to caravans now lol.

I have ATC on new caravan, no idea what it will be like, or even if I will notice it at all. We'll see.

Just for info, I just sold my AKS1300 on ebay for £103 so if you decide not to fit it ebay may be worthwhile for you.

Awnings are selling well right now, we sold ours on there the other day as it was to small for the new van, and it did really well, good time to sell caravan accessories.good luck :)
