We are about to pick up our new van and have been told the bunk is missing!!!
We really need a 5/6 berth and this was perfect 2 x doubles one with a bunk over and now they tell us its not there. Its one of them that folds from under the cupboard above, rest on the side bars and kind of double folds out of itself length ways.
My question is are all these standard size and fitting?
So will this bunk out of my abbey somerset fit in the new van?
Have a search in Google and see if there are any close to you first, if not throw the net wider and contact as many as possible with the 'vans details, year, model etc to see if they have anything.

i doubt it, its from ebay!
If the caravan was not described as having a missing bunk in't listing then it is 'not as described'. You can tell the seller to knock off a suitable amount or you can walk away.
If it was advertised as 5 berth but only has 4 beds I'd have thought you'd be within your rights to get a quote & have the seller knock that amount off the price. Or, as others have said, walk away.
I speak as a seasoned Ebayer with over 1000 feedback score. If it is 'not as described' don't part with any money. Walk away and leave it. Sellers can't leave negative feedback for buyers so you are safe on that score. You may get a 'non-paying' bidder strike against you but you may be able to counter that with a 'not as described' claim against the seller. If the listing did not mention the missing bunk then it couldn't possibly be correctly described as a 5 berth. You could tell the seller that the sale is subject to the bunk out of your old van fitting the new one, but that would reduce the resale value of the old van... Just walk away from it and take the hit on whatever Ebay throw at you. It's the easiest and cheapest option...
