Ok I know some one will be able to help we have a 1050 Ventura awning and would like some led 12 or 240 volt lights to clip on to pole at either end as awning Is so big has any one bought or recommend some where or better still a link need mail order if possible ..

Simon - for extra light in ours i bought a long length of cable, plug and lamp holder, run it from the caravans socket and wrap it around the roof pole. I use a low energy bulb as they don't get hot and find it gives really good light in our 987 awning.

For safety I prefer to use 12v lighting in the awning and I use a set of lights that were sold as being for patios and are simple led's similar to Christmas lights but brighter. I am saving for a couple of led strip lights that will run off 12v or mains via a 240/12v transformer and should be more like domestic lighting.

i have 3, 72cm lengths of led lights from ebay linked together in mine, very bright and cheap to make.
