I purchased a secondhand isabella capri awning from ebay (not sure of the year). It's based on the Zinox glass fibre frame. Also it's a small 800cm. I've downloaded the instructions from isabella for the earliest year

http://service.isabella.net/downloads/pdf/isabella/opstil/Capri/Capri1997-2000.PDF

My awning appears to be complete, except for poles G, the front canopy poles. Now the instructions say (step 5) "Push the G-Poles into the canopy sleeves". My awning doesn't have any sleeves on the canopy, just 3 holes, one in the middle & one at each end for the hooks on poles F (the short canopy poles that connect to the main frame). I think the awning will still errect OK without the G-poles, but the canopy will sag & blow about in winds.

What I'm unsure of, should I have these poles? Could it be an earlier version didn't use these poles? Does the canopy usually have a sleeve that the whole pole fits into?

Thanks in advance

I think you have an earlier version that doesn't have the G poles. A lot of awnings don't have these poles and work perfectly well without them.

Hope this helps

Andi

Thanks Andi, that's put my mind at rest. I've just discovered it doesn't have the varanda pole either, so I assume that's due to being an earlier version aswell. Can't complain for £70.

Doesn't necessarily come with veranda poles as standard, but you can pick an alloy one up (not Isabella) for about £13-14. You got a bargain there at £70, find me one for that price in a 900 please!!
