Hi everyone, we are new to caravaning and are just getting set to go on our first adventure to Devon. We are trying to work out about the water filter or whether it has one. We have a 2002 Baily Ranger 510. Some people say the filter should be behind the fridge. Other's say that it doesn't have one and you need to flush milten through.
Hi the Rnger series did not have a water filter fitted as standard, has for the milton..what i generally do is fill aquaroll up with cold water and drop two tablets in and wait for about 20 mins then pull the water through to caravan and leave it in pipes for 15 mins then pull the rest of the water through until aqua roll is empty.
Then i fill aquaroll up again and flush caravan system with fresh water and job done i intend to do this 3 times a year depending on use...

I've tried the Milton technique, but I find that no matter how much you flush it through, it takes months for the smell of chlorine to disappear from the water.
hi welcome see.we have a 2003 ranger and no filter.as said do not think they were fitted with one, unless the previous owner fitted on themselves.i use milton half a cupful in 40 ltr of water, fill as normal then flush out.do not leave more than one hour as the alloy tank does not like milton.safe for babies so must be ok.
Hi Everyone, thank you all for your suggestions that really has helped us and we hope to see you on our travels. Just to also let you know, my wife did the towing course with the caravan and caming club and she says it was brilliant!!!!
Puriclean is great and hardly leaves any smell at all. I also put a capful of Aquasol in each full aquaroll, this takes all nasty tastes from the water.
