Does anyone know of a suitable caravan stop mid way ish between scotch corner & Penrith on the A66 where we can pull in for a coffee on the way to Keswick.
No. Travelled that way recently and the nearest we could find was at Scotch Corner.
Its actually not that long a journey from there to Keswick. We ended up in a layby at the end of the dual carriageway after you have crossed over the motorway at Penrith and had a sandwich and a drink we made at home before we set off.

When we go away with the van we have thermal cups that we fill up with hot drinks and it lasts us at least an hour and half. We usually set off with a couple of rounds of toast as well with a sandwich for lunch. it works well for us

at scotch corner there is a services if you turn right .which does not get too busy. The lay by can get very congested. Otherwise there is not really a great deal. scotch corner to keswick is only just over an hour.
If your ever going that way without the van mainsgill farm on your left is fantastic butchers, cafe shop etc. seen motorhomes in but no caravans.
There is a burger van in the lay by immediately past the A6 roundabout (just before the M6), But if you have got that far you are only 30 minutes max from Keswick
