It works ok for me, you will also need some short lengths of thick wood to go under & over jack. I jack mine up on bolted on piece of chassis that holds the axle. obviously don't reach under 'van while jacked up. If you want to work under 'van, adjust brakes or whatever put an axle stand under axle & let it down onto that.
The proper & more expensive way is to buy correct jack for chassis which comes with bolt on jacking point.

Only jack under the axle though, never under the chassis as it will buckle unless using the kojack side jack. You should always be hitched up when jacking too though this is not always possible. Personally I prefer a small trolley jack.
Thanks all! So a bottle jack would do with a bit of a work round in the shape of carrying extra wood, but a trolley jack would be optimal.
That's four essential items I could do with getting very cheaply (leisure battery, jack, fire extinguisher and gas bottle). Does anyone have any recommendations for sources - other than ebay?
Thanks Rossco - will open the Argos window now ... I do wish I wasn't supposed to be working!!
Legs - does that mean that it doesn't have to be a caravan specific jack - that a car one would do the job? Our caravan-to-be is low weight at about 1200 kg, so I'm half assuming that a 1.5 tonne jack would be OK?
and the matching 2 Tonne trolley jack for £26 inc. delivery, the lot, from Amazon. The Silverline stuff has a lifetime warranty too! How do they do it?
Mine is just a bog standard Draper trolley jack. I stand to be corrected but as far as I know there is no trolley jack designed specifically for a caravan, just the KoJack side jack.
The big advantage of the Kojack brackets is that you don't have to get the jack under the axle and therefore it is easy to locate and get the bottle jack under even if the wheel is on the rim. I also use mine for lifting the van to put blocks under the wheels when not level (can't use ramps on TA) and to fit the Alko Secure locks without having to shuffle the 'van to line up the receptors. The Alko sidelift jack uses a similar bracket system but their jack is not something I feel happy with as it is more like a car side jack and quite flimsy in comparison with a bottle jack.

Interesting picture. I could knock a set of those brackets up in 10 minutes with some heavy angle iron and some side bracers. I always thought they picked up underneath the chassis too
