Does anyone have any opinions on any of the the various caravan storage sites in the Leeds area (am looking around 20 miles around)?

 There seems to be quite a range in price, with the Silver Cassoa site near the airport being more expensive than some of the Gold sites. I've tried to get hold of a site near Wakefield several times over the last week but they don't seem to answer their phone so have lost interest in them, and suspect I'll end up going for our nearest one almost by default...

If the Wakefield one is the same as the one I used to use (on Batley Lane), I would avoid it like the plague!

Before we got a seasonal pitch, we used Jacmil in Tong (between Leeds & Bradford). I believe it is a Cassoa-registered site, and I think it was £25 per month. Very friendly owners and secure site. Their phone number is 0113 285 2431.

No, I don't think it's on Batley Lane, I think it's at Thorpe, they're called Ashfield or Ashford, can't quite remember which!  There's a mobile number i could ring but I just don't like the fact that they're not there to answer their landline  

I looked at Jacmil but they don't seem to be Cassoa registered so I just assumed that their security would be less good ... perhaps I should give them a ring if that's not the case?

We have been using Caltons in Featherstone for the last year and are very happy with it.  It is run by Ian who is always available.  You can access site 24 hrs a day if you give 30 mins noticed.

The site is "gold" standard, very secure with cameras and sensors.

Would definitely recommend it if it is not too far out of your way.

Oh, that's a different one, then - I don't know it, I'm afraid. However, if they can't be contacted, I would question how professional they are.

I was pretty sure that Jacmil were Cassoa-registered, but could be wrong (it has been known!). However, the owners live right next to the storage site, and you have to ring them to arrange entry, which is through an impressive-looking gate with removable bollards. They also have a guard dog who likes to bark whenever anyone comes close! We certainly had no problems during the couple of years we were there, and I never heard of anyone else having problems.
