bit of worry when you are waiting for your charger to fail.they were even failing last year on some vans.agree with the cheap generator,read of one new caravan owner that had his electrics fried and he had to pay.quote
Their is a faulty batch of chargers that have been fitted to the Swift Group vans (ours is 2008 630 Conqueror) that are supplied by Nordic Electronica.
When I phoned my caravan supplier they apologised and said they had already changed 35 units so far.
Apparently in a short time of use they fail which causes your 12v system to go down when the battery runs out. I’ve been told that the 12v system should work even without a battery, but with these faulty chargers, it doesn't.
As far as the faulty chargers are concerned, they all use a separate little transformer to run the control of the main transformer and it's this component that's been failing.
