We have slowly replaced all our stuff over time, with low watt stuff, as we use CL sites a lot and rely just on battery power.
I think you are better off , a normal kettle uses 12.5A a camping kettle is 6A this is because you only have a 16A supply in total , if you have anything else on can overload your supply and trip it out. That's if you use to many things at one time.

A low wattage kettle is a must as a standard domestic House kettle draws 8 amps and some UK site's are only a 10 amp supply and your fridge draws 1.5 amps and your battery charger 1 amp so would trip out .
Most Caravan Club and Camping and Caravanning sites are 16amp supply but if you were to switch on a house toaster and domestic kettle at the same time you would still trip the site electrics .
If you ever venture abroad European site's are often only 6amp supply so low wattage electrical appliances can only be used
Hi, Only use Water heater,Fridge,TV, use gas for making tea and cooking, have small low wattage halogen blow air heater if very cold at night. changing to Propane so used butane gas for all appliances this time out, to use up the butane.

At the moment we use all normal household appliancies.... not had a single problem as of yet using EHU's on sites (we always look for EHU pitches) and aslong as you box clever should'nt come across too many issues, We do however have a kettle that will go on the gas hob and an inverter if we should ever need upto about 150w but have never used it also never used the gas in tha caravan either........... Must say I do like my creature comforts like TV ,satelite, dvd etc but if location dictates we can easy do without.
Its our first year and as of now only had 14 nights out so things may change
