We've never had any abuse either but be prepared to have people pull out on you all the time at junctions & roundabouts, they see a caravan coming & are desperate to get away, we've had to slam our brakes on many times.

To get to the site we use regularly we have to drive along a straight stretch of 50mph road (about 1/4 mile long), when we have the van on there is a stream of cars that overtake us yet when we use the same road without the van and travelling at the same speed not a single car comes past!

We've never had a problem with other road users.  We came to pinch point on a road a few days ago with a bit a backlog in both directions, a chap and his family and their caravan travelling towards slowed down when he passed ours and said "ruddy caravaners" Lol.

Generally when family and people at work have found out about my caravan, they have often taken the mick, I've often been called a shed dragger, pikey, etc etc.  But generally they're just having a bit of fun.  One or two numpty's have actually been serious though but never in any aggressive fashion, generally the kind of wally's who actually believe what Clarkeson says on the box, so you have to feel sorry for anyone with that level of gullibility.  Probably also believe Elvis is alive and living in a crashed WW2 bomber on the moon.

Travelling on the A9 I was cut up pretty badly by a woman who nearly caused a fatal crash overtaking me, about 30 miles further on I pulled in to a layby for a quick loo stop, there she was, she came over and asked if she could use my loo, she was pretty shaken up and apologised I am sure she wont do that again in a hurry.

I have also tried to signal to another caravanner (I wasnt towing at the time)  that their electric cable had come away and was bouncing on the road, all I got was the finger back, guess the mashed connection would teach them to take note in future.
