If it is freestanding as in the adverts, then it would work in the same principle as a framed tent, then I suppose the awning tubing would just attach to the awning rail. There is nothing in the Starcamp adverts to show how this system works, I have checked this evening in the brochure.
The instruction manuals probably won't show that much either, as they are very poor, although Starcamp awnings are OK, well at least mine is OK
