Our one year old van went in for its first service last month. We highlighted a couple of minor issues, which we had advised the dealer of during the course of the year.
Two bigger problems related to the front panels. Shortly after collection, a crack appeared in the gel-coat of the front gas-locker door. By the end of the year, we also noticed dark flecks/speckles all over the front panels. The speckles looked rather like the van had been near some paint-spraying - although this was not the case.
We are now rather dismayed to hear that the front panels are too thinly coated and it is the grey fibreglass showing through which causes the speckles. It needs to be completely replaced under warranty - which Swift have approved.
We now have to wait whilst the panels are ordered (which can take many weeks apparently), so that it is likely to have the front end replaced later in the year - after our holidays.
Not good eh?
