We used our Dorema Vision porch awning for the 1st time last week , however struggled to get it tensioned correctly. Where are the pads for the poles meant to attach to the awning , on the padded section or to the outside of the padded section ? there is only a very small section of the sewn in grip rail for the pads to attach to on the outside of either padded section. Obviously the pads need to fit onto the side of the caravan firmly . Looking at the instructions it isn't clear where the pads should be positioned . Has anyone got pics of where they should go .
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Phil

I have no answer for you, I'm afraid, however am thinking about buying this awning so am interested to know if you have sussed the tensioning out and if you would recommend this awning? We currently use a lightweight Kampa Vista XL however thought something with a little more height and flexibility might be nice...

Hi, i've just purchased the vision awning and had exactly the same problem as yourself. After speaking to two different people at dorema they said that the quick lock pads go against the foam pads. It would be interesting to hear from anyone else with the awning to see if this is how it should be done. Hope this helps Andrew.

Andy
I spoke to Dorema last week and they said that the pads actually go on the side of the caravan at the extreme edge of the awning into the seam , this should tension the awning . Will let you know how i go on when we try this

Thanks for letting me know Phil, funny how they gave two different answers! I did actually try to do that but it seemed to tight a fit between the corner of the awning and the foam pads. Please let me know how you get on. A great awning for the money though. Thanks Andrew.
