Thanks for the noseweight guage rec - I'd had a quick look at them but have an elderly pair of bathroom scales that I thought would do the job short term ...?
Does your van have three waste pipes? Mr WR has been telling me that ours does this morning, but I thought it only had two ...!
Our van does have three waste outlets, one on the offside and two at the back. One day I'm going to re-route the off-side one to the back as it's a right pain out there on its own.
We tried the bathroom scales for nose weight but couldn't get a reliable reading. This was proven by a couple of less than perfect tows. Since getting and using the Milenco thingy the van feels so much better balanced, very much better. We check the noseweight before every trip and it is amazing how moving a few kg around can improve things.
We also check tyre pressures and wheelbolt torque before every trip. A problem with any one of those could really spoil your day!

CWD ...You forgot the ride on lawnmower to tidy up your pitch OH and Two Landscape Gardeners to Look after the Flora...LOL
I didn't forget. I recognise that many of you non-gardeners would not regard these as essential. I always take the lawnmower and do all of my own landscape gardening on site, taking my spade, fork ,hoe, rake, bedding plants, greenhouse etc.......I didn't mention OH as I anticipate that everyone knows she is essential...How else would I get my beer poured and carried to my chair?

I wouldn't go quite that far, but I do like a nice potted plant.... or two
Hey David, (shock horror)....all of the other pictures of your awning always show the drinks cabinet. Has it been stolen?
Phil
ps. The wife has started taking a vase for our awning table and puts flowers in it for our stay as well

Ooo No - just moved to the other side?
I buy a potted plant when we get there. Saves carriage.... and when we go I often give it away to someone who is still there, or even the warden - just a little gesture. The only thing I carry are a couple of those brown trays to catch the water when you water the plants. I don't give those away, but they stay in the van as part of my 'essential equipment'.

I don't have a flagpole.
But I really want a 5m one with a Staffordshire knot flag!
If David asks nicely I'll let him have a turn with it.
Probably.
If we both bought one, we could have a flag-in (or flag-out) day up at fort knox/ alcatraz. [Two of the nicknames for our storeage facility, in case anyone wonders what the heck I'm writing about.]

I reckon Alcatraz needs a flagpole. It would make a change from the Sainsburys bags flapping on the barbed wire!
How much do you think they'd add on the annual fee?
