hi my neice has just bought a crown caravan 1982 15 foot body does anybody know what size awning she will need not quite sure what make it is other than crown thats all it says on the front
You need a length of string or cord. Thread it through the awning rail, starting from the ground at one end ,to the gound at the other(2 person Job). Measure the string and this will give you the awning size. Some awning manufacrurers class their products size 5,6,7 etc but they dont all use the same scale so you are better working from length. From there you go to best fit as it is unlikely that you will get an exact size match. The scirt gives you a bit of leeway .

They are now but not until and only then for the 1985 season, Elddis then started using the Crown name again around 94 I think?
I can add, Crown lead caravan design in the early 80's, first to use built in gas lockers and compersite one piece roofs you could walk on!
On awning size, measure, and then get the next nearest size above the measurement, if you go less it won't fit in certain sloppy site conditions unless it's only very slightly shorter
