Use an old tele with old style digital receiver and you can have a hit and miss experience on what channels and picture quality you receive. Its worth investing in a modern box with built in freeview etc IMO to get a good picture and choice of channels. Worth the investment........especially with the Euro's and Olympics coming up......

Just you wait and see...  we don't have a TV in our caravan (& never will) but at home the whole digital experience is nothingh but trouble.

Just last night they were bu~#ering about with the signal again - despite the fact that the switch-over was completeed here months back.   After re-tuning yet again as instructed we have once again got worse reception than (ever) before on several channels, and yet again lost lots of channels... no less than THIRTY this time... and guess what it's all the channels with the only decent programmes that have gone

So welcome to digital TV.    Eventually you'll find that you can watch more of the same repeats of.....  Cr*p In The Attic, endless repeats about people with loads of money looking for a little place in the country,  stupid gits on bus tours abroad making you cringe to be British, cooking programmes, shopping channels or the porn channels if you want to pay for them

Other than that the rest will come & go then disappear forever - unless of course you live dan saff near London.  No doubt they'll get everything for nothing at the expense of the rest of the country ..

Err, sorry - I think I justy had a major rant there ....     ......

Very late post. Thought best to answer the dan saff bit. London has not got it yet even tilkl this date, No answer to this yet is there from one dan saff southerner so it seems we get the ******** yet again. Ah! well the normal reaction  I suppose.Shame the needle is so stuck in the great big hole it is in as usual.

I tend to agree, have always got a better picture since buying a digital TV with the built in tuner rather than a separate digi box.
