We have our caravan in storage. However, we keep finding small dents around the van (no idea how it is happening?!). I wondered whether anyone else has experienced a similar problem?
I had a problem like this a few years ago, each time i went to the storage i would find a tiny dent, it took me ages to come up with the answer, in my case it was the sit on grass cutter throwing up stones from the stony ground when cutting the grass surrounding the storage area

I can see where you are coming from with the grass cutting. However, our storage site is a farm. I've no idea how they are getting there. This is our second van there and it happened to the previous one (similar size dents and everything). We have just purchased a newer van and when we bought it I walked around the van to note whether there were any dents - not one. Well after leaving it at the storage site we now have 5 dents in 2 weeks - not good!
seen it twice now, once on a CClub site.the cutter cutting the grass was spraying three caravans with stones one of them was ours.the second time a large sit on grass cutter picked up a loose tent peg and sent it into a caravan front and then through the side window of a volvo car.they should have thick rubber skirts on there cutters.
------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.
air rifle pellets have been an issue in the past or even kids throwing stones depends on where it is parked grass cuttting can be an issue but only if there is grass and there is space enough between vans on my site there is no chance of this
At what height are the dents ? You say your van is stored at a farm. Could be sheep strolling arond the van(s). If they have horns then maybe. Only reason I suggest that is we parked our new black car on a moor so we could go for a walk and came back to see a stupid sheep taking offence to it's own reflction in the door and decided to charge it. Cost me a ruddy fortune to get fixed.

The dents are various heights from high to low. However, they all tend to be of a similar size (approx 5 pence coin). I am seriously considering finding somewhere else to store it now.
Wherever you store it, this is going to happen and it's bloody infuriating. The aluminium skin is very thin and fragile. You've only to sneeze to get a dent in it!!!!(And I cleaned that up!)
My theory is that if the caravans are parked close together, it's people walking between them with keys in their hands, accidentally catching the sides, zips and or buttons on outdoor clothing can also be a problem.
Not a lot you can do about it. Storage site owners do not accept liability for any damage as a result of you storing your caravan with them unless it's them that have actually caused the damage. Can't see anyone owning up to that unless you can prove it, can you?

Ask the storage owner to check the CCTV ,could be someone with a van near yours is being a bit clumsy ?
This would be the best option as you will find out exactly whats happening. Our van is on a working farm. No farm animals are allowed to roam where the vans are kept. Its is probable a clumsy owner or grass cutter as previously suggested.

Is there a regular pattern to the dents or are they random?
Are they concave, flat bottomed or pointed dents?
