Might have been asked before, but going to ask again, just for interest...

Just wondered the sort of age of people here?

It's such a friendly online community of people, with common interests, it's a nice place to be.

Anyway, I was just wondering the average age of the people on here? I know this isn't representative of the average age of caravanners per se - due to not all being here - or online, but just wondered.

I've spent many a holiday as a child with my parents, all over the Dales, North Yorks, Lakes, in South Wales etc etc, starting life out in a couple of CI Sprites, an Alpine, a Muskateer, an ABI Maruder, a TARGET 570 etc etc etc... so thanks to dad (who sadly passed away last Oct) caravanning is in my blood..

What with one thing and another this last year, me and my partner thought about a caravan, and a few weeks (and to be fair) not a great deal of money later ended up with "Elvis the Elddis" a Elddis Golden Crown Signet 2 birth caravan - now we LOVE IT!  (

Its really hard to explain but even just being in it this weekend, while its parked up, doing odd jobs I feel happy. Hard to explain but  i love our little caravan, and the life and freedom it affords us..

Anyway, I'm rambling (3 glasses of wine talking)... reason I ask, is I am 34 (35 next Sat!) and get some jip at work from my younger colleagues about "caravanning". But I don't feel I need to justify myself. I drive a stupidly quick BMW z4 sDrive35i when not caravanning, so not lost my crazy side, but can't shake off that chilling in the caravan of an afternoon with the sun streaming through the window...

So, average age folks? Do tell!?

I'm 39 (40 next month ) and OH just turned 40. We've been tent camping for 10 years, borrowed the inlaws MH for the past three years and just started caravanning this year. We love this sort of holiday and dont care what other people say or think about it.
