How do people insure their caravans before cris comes through. Is the way of getting a short term cover until it comes through.
Need it insured to move to the seasonal pitch we want.

I got a quote from C&CC's online insurance last week and it states they don't need the CRIS number instantly, you can send it through to them within 7 days (though this only applies online, as I discovered when I tried to complete the purchase over the phone!).

Is the CRIS number not visible on your windows or is this the first time it's been registered? Our dealership sent off the forms at the end of May and we had the notification letter through yesterday so the delay wasn't too long for us.

I think the dealer wrote the CRIS number on the receipt for ours. I managed to insure it OK for the day we collected it though. Have you told the insurance company you haven't got a number yet?

I thought the CRIS number is the same as the VIN number of the caravan. Our dealer wrote this on our sales invoice.
