Why spend all that money when you can use the inbuilt signal finder on the Sky digibox?

I found the signal meter a complete waste of time when setting up my caravan system! I just used the display from the satellite receiver - although be aware that there is a slight time-lag between moving your dish and it registering on the display!

Never had a problem with a cheap satellite finder. I certainly wouldn't get an expensive one, it's too easy to drop it, especially if you are on a ladder getting to a dish.
Many times I have dropped the dish on the jockey wheel and plugged everything in to find I have a signal straight away. There have been a few times where it has taken me ages fiddling about trying to get a signal...usually when it is pouring with rain.
