i have a aventura 320

just inside the door is a panel with battery charge indicator and 3 switches

left switch 2 settings says aux

middle has 3 settings car, van, and in the middle

right has 2 settings pump

the last one is simple that turns my pump on and off worked that one out, but can you shed any light on the other switches and when they should be set at what setting

I dont know about the aux switch.
The middle one with car and van enables you to switch between the leisure battery in the caravan and the car battery if you have an extension cable running from the car to the van. It would connect between the grey auxilliary sockets. I haven't used one of those for years but it sometimes came in handy if the van battery was low. The danger is it may weaken your car battery.

I would have said the middle one is to tell the van where it's power is coming from

Set to car whilst travelling

Set to van when your on EHU

That's what we have in ours

Perhaps the Aux one is if your on an auxiliary supply ?

Aux will probably 12v feed to the water heater

The only thing my AUX switch appears to feed is the electric igniter on the cooker. There may be others that I have not yet found but obviously the lights work, the 12 volt plugs all work, the radio cassette and the aerial amplifier all seem to be wired through the lights switch.



That reminded me I had the radio on earlier while I was cleaning it and left the aerial amplifier on... Just turned it off and double checked. The AUX switch controls the cooker igniter, the 12 volts to the water heater (needed for gas or 240 volt operation) and the blown air heating.

My pump switch has three settings, Internal, External and off with an LED alongside the internal and external positions. Despite this, I have no internal water tank and the internal LED does not come on.

Like you, I also have a Lights switch and the one marked Car, Van and Off. It shouldn't make any difference which position it is in when towing as the habitation relay should over ride it.
