I have just had my AWD Powertouch mover fitted to my twin axle which has meant the have had to remove the spare wheel carrier and also the Kojak jacking brackets to lift the van for the diamond through the wheel locks. I am going to buy a Halfords trolley jack to lift the van ,but does anyone with a twin axle and movers fitted where the best place to place he jack for lifting. With the AWD movers, space is limited, will it fit between the wheels or to one side, and should it be lifted on the axle,
Thanks
Hi Craig
Reason I have not really concerned myself with it before is if I had a puncture I would call out the RAC which the van is also covered under. I have sorted the wheel lock problem by strangling with the insurers to just put one diamond through the wheel and one wheel clamp.
Problem now is I am going to France in the summer with he van, if I had a puncture I would not want to wait for European call out services,
I would rather jack it up myself and change it .
Greetings,
I note you had to remove the wheel carrier.
For what its worth I've ditched the carrier and put the wheel under the bed in the same place longitudinally as it was.
I couldn't imagine trying to get that carrier out after a puncture when on the Continent with the traffic whizzing past my prostrate bod.

Hi , yes I have pout the wheel under the side fixed bed also near the axles. I bought one of those round non slip bath grip mats to stand it on so the wheel doesnt slide around, it fits perfectly!
