I'm new to this site, because I normally use twitter, but this site blows twitter right out of the water. People are talking about what i'm interested in.Brilliant. I've been caravanning four years, why didn't I know about this site????
What is this Twitter all about? Who cares what everyone is doing right now?
I recently read an article about someone who has lost his father. The day he died the bereaved son felt the need to Twitter how he felt to the world.
Good old email and forums, that's what I say! By the way, I am not a Luddite. I was a computer technician for Compaq, HP and then Samsung and I embrace all things techno, but Twitter??? Give me a break!

------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.
Hi Chris. Welcome to the UKCS forum. Most of us on here have OCD - Obsessive Caravan/Camping Disorder. It is very addictive. It all starts when you post in order to get the next tent coloured in (underneath your user name and Avtar). By the time you've got five tents, you are well and truely hooked! You don't get little tents on Twitter!!
Welcome Chris. It must have been awful to have been on the dark side for so long

Twitter, Facebook, whatever "the thing of today" you can,t beat a good caravan forum, much more interesting and informative. We have only started caravanning in the recent years and have learnt so much from you all.
Its great to get loads of nice replies, I often feel isolated and not wanted when I tow my van, but here i'am amongst fellow activists...I've just booked my fourth holiday of the year with the kids..Hollins Farm in Silverdale, if you have kids you'll love it. Kevin who runs the place is amazing, nothing is too much trouble..
Activists......how dare you.........more laid back than activists!!! And...you're not isolated with your van...there will be loads of folk following you
