sorry to piggy back,hi can you tell me why my bathroom sink is yellowing for no reason and can i bleach it out or buy a cleaner or a paint covering.done a search and no answers came up.it is kept very clean and no strong solutions used.
Hi
Sorry for the late reply, the first thing that immediately comes to mind is a lack of UV stabiliser, Most plastics will fade over time, so to counteract this stabilsers are added to stop this degradation. Unfortunately as its an inbuilt part of the process of manufacture, there is little that can be done to remove it, and i'm not aware of any paints that will stand the test of time on a sink. You could try an abrasive compound to see if it is just the surface that has discoloured such as farecla gel coat restorer.
Regards
Jon
