Sorry about asking another Cadac question, but am wondering if anyone has used a non stick liner on the grill plate.
We've just received a new grill plate from cadac and am thinking about using a liner.
Anyone have any advice?
You shouldn't need to use it on the grill plate as it's already non-stick. As far as I understand, the non-stick cooking liner is intended for use on the skottel plate, and I thought was shaped correctly for it.

You're 100% correct, but we've had such trouble with the grill plate - we're on our 3rd now - that I don't trust the non-stickability (new word!). We've been soooo cautious with the other plates, but food has still stuck, particularly eggs or anything containing eggs (pancake mix, etc).
To be fair to cadac, they have sent out replacement grill plates very quickly, without question. But does that mean they are aware there is a problem with them?
We use a non stick sheet on our cadac, it's the first Cadac we've bought. It took months to be delivered after we ought it at the NEC. The non stick plate was rubbish & had to be replaced. This new one turned out to be as bad as the first & also had to be replaced, the non stick on this one was also bad news but we've still got it & will use non stick sheets on it from now on.
To be honest, I regret ever buying the Cadac as it's not lived up to my expectations. If I can get my hands on another Beauclaire the cadac will be sold or put in the shed as a spare or for me to use here when family are away on holiday without me which happens every year so I'll be able to cook for myself outside.
What I do is put some olive oil on it (wipe it around with a little kitchen roll) before I do the cooked breakfast. The wife hasn't complained about the washing up, so far. ()
Thanks guys. I'm going to go down the liner route. I seems that older cadacs were of a better quality than the new ones. We've watched friends use there's without any problems, but ours has been awful (bought spring 2010).
I must say I, too, am disappointed with the cadac - it's far easier and less stressful to cook on the hob in the 'van . I'm hoping the liner will change my opinion.
I wouldn't pay £10 for the liner that go outdoors wanted. We had liners from Aldi's or Lidl's that we would use if needed. But as said before you need to keep the plates oiled.
We bought our Cadac thinking it would be easy to clean, but that really is not the case. Fajitas were a nightmare to clean off, and have taken some of the top layer off!
So glad this has been posted - our Cadac is 2 years old & we have the same problem. We did ask in Go Outdoors if they sold the grill plate on it's own & the guy told us they don't but to use some enamel paint on the one we have instead. Said he's done it & had no problems since. We haven't been brave enough to try yet tho.
