You know this is going to end in tears again...buy summat foreign, even if the styling is stark & angular, the interior is spartan & the door is on't wrong side, you know it makes sense....
well back and more or less decided we want a 2006 onwards Bailey Ranger 500/5 or a 2009-10 Ranger GT60 500/5. We hated the EB Lunar unfortunately it was dark and looked dated. Looked in loads and the more we look the more the twin dinette layout will work better for us than a fixed bed. The newer the better ideally.
Saw a lovely spotless 2008 Ranger 500/5 at Northam Farm, Brean on at £9995. Salesman not in the least interested in doing a deal. Quoted us £999 for a mover too.
So now we are scouring all the dealers and websites.

Tentz, we do like the foreign vans, Highbridge had a 2007 Burstner that was the dogs whatsits but turned out it was only a 2 berth as the sofas at one end didnt turn into a 2nd bed.
We really loved the 2008 one at Northam farm but the dealer was like talking to a brick wall. We dont want to pay nearly 11k for the van. Thinking of ringing the owner of the GT60 in the link above and offering him 10K, he had it on at 10.5k starting and didnt get any bids and now its on at 10.2k with no bids yet.

That 2010 GT60 looks the part but if you buy just make sure its had its 1st service on time if its over 12 months old
Hi Savanne. It sound like you've had a busy day - and in the process have changed from a fixed bed. You could leave the back dinette set up permanently as a bed, although we find the proper fixed bed more comfortable. Caravanning is always a compromise though. When we moved from an end washroom to a side washroom the thing I found most difficult (and excuse me for saying this) was sitting on the loo - I just didn't have room - mind you I'm not small - there never seemed room fo my legs. Please check this out, if it important for you, to make sure you are sitting comfortably. We ended up by having to leave the door open. When we had the van stolen, our first decision was to go back to an end washroom. This works well for us. Many folk are very happy with side washrooms, so it's probably not an issue, but thought it worth mentioning. Keep us all up to date with the hunt.
