Many of the caravan sites we use do not have eletric hook-ups, so to keep the battery charged I have invested into a solar panel, which more than keeps up with our usage. Its a 50Watt- up to 3.5 amps per hour, depends on daylight!
My wife has some medical equipment that needs to be charged up now & then plus the usual stuff, water pump lights tv + satelite, motor mover etc. I thought £ 190 for the panel & regulator wasnt bad, easy to fit, now we are self sufficiant when we do go on sites that have power cc etc , if you dont need the electric have discount for the pitch, rather than £20 the pitch electric, so we use it because your charge for it.
