I've been thinking of getting a porch awning. I have a full NR Pullman awning which is superb, but I've been thinking of getting a small one for when it is just me and the wife away without kids. The reasoning behind this is, is it easier to put up, easier to put away wet for later drying, but does it still have room for a small table for eating at? Some I have been looking at are just about as expensive as the NR was, but othes seem to be modified dome tents.

Anyone have experiences of porch awnings they would like to share?   

Maybe you could look out for a second hand porch awning.  We got a second hand Dorema Toronto one which is  a fairly large porch awning and has plenty of room for a table and chairs.  It was in good condition and has done the trick. That model is about £450 new and we got ours for £100. Try to check that the zips are all in working order before you buy and that all the parts are present. We saw ours advertised in the Ad Trader online and there were loads to choose from in our area. It could be worth a try.

Take a look at the Kampa Fiesta.  Good enough for a royal wedding. 

Just bought a Sunncamp Mira 390 last week. Absolutely fabulous comes with an annexe if you want to sleep extra people. I can put it up by myself

We use the porch awning when away for just a couple of days.

Its an outdoor revolution porchlite XL; its a good size for a couple of days away and I suppose for people without kids it would be OK for sitting in with a table.

The other advantage is that you dont fight with your other half, as you do when putting up a full awning, you can put the porchlite up yourself,
