Have to agree with all you other happy, clever Senator owners.  We nearly traded our lovely 5 year old Vermont in last Autumn for a new Unicorn .  I too believe Bailey have lost the plot with the Alutech - also hated the look of the newest Unicorn, so cheap and flashy looking.  I see problems arising from the front window arrangement, the blind immediately jammed up on the show model we looked at.

Hi, Im new on here and this is my first post :-)

I have an Indiana and although I had a damp problem at the end of last year I absolutely love it.. Its a 2006 S5 and the problem I had was the awning rail seal on the near side failed and allowed water ingress on the rear. The wall panel at the rear nearside needed to be replaced but everything else ( Internal roof panels, rear wall panel) was ok to stay. There was no sign of any cracks on the front or rear panels so I decided to carry out the following work.

The repair man removed all the furniture, cabinets and wall panels from the bedroom, placed a dehumidifier in for two days and then replaced any damaged wood batons and wall panels. Bedroom window, storage compartment and battery box seals were replaced. I also had all awning rails and roof rails replaced on both sides as a precaution and it is 100% again.
There was no damp anywhere else so I'm hoping its good for another few years now after all the work. :-)

The reason i decided to spend the money (less than 2K) was because I looked around and it was going to cost me a lot more to replace the van and I wouldn't be guaranteed the replacement would be as dry as my own after the work had been carried out, plus, my own vans depreciation has bottomed out for a while for the next few years and the replacement wouldn't have. The company that did the work gave me photos of all the work as they did it and also gave me a 12month warranty.

So, all in all, I was happy enough to spend the money on my van and without spending 10's of thousands (if I had it spare), I'm not sure I would get a van I'd be as happy with for the moment anyway. :-)
