Newbie's back.... still pondering porches...

Has anyone got the Sunncamp Ultima 180?

Your opinion would be much appreciated... Particularly on how easy to erect.... As I'll often be fighting with it on my own!

Was thinking along the lines of Sunncamp Swift or similar, but maybe worth spending a few quid more... The Ultima seems to have a much better write up.

Many thanks in advance.

I would prefer small to begin with, like I say I'll be putting it up myself, and I'm a total novice! Plus was after a narrowish one so it sits between van windows. It's 8ft deep though so plenty room for our few bits. Just for shoes and outdoor chairs really. And the dog when she's smelly of an evening......

I havent seen a 180 yet but used to have the larger one which I managed to put up on my own. This time it was a toss up for me sunncamp swift or the 180. Decided on a change and went for the swift. Happy with it and its stood up to some strongish winds. I think the 180 may be slightly thicker material on the roof. Swift is very easy to put up. Its all down to personal choice.

That's interesting to note Robin. There's nowhere round here I can see them but my dad down in Lancashire has had a nosy round a few places. He looked at the Riviera Rapide (Riversway Leisure equivalent of Sunncamp Swift from what I can gather from photo's.... looks identical to me) and kinda put me off it. Said the material was 'paper thin' in his words..... That said, the last awning he set eyes on was a full sized canvas one 20 years ago.... the material on that would've smothered a whale! I'd just about set myself on the Riviera Rapide / Sunncamp Swift. It's for occasional use, somewhere to put boots and wet coats etc. In seriously inclement weather i'd probably not bother putting it up as we manage without now.

Any further suggestions or opinions welcome!!

Thanks

well if its for occasional use only and you put it up on your own I def recommend the swift. Ok it will not last years and years but I only paid £70 for it. I got a price on the internet and my local caravan dealer matched it.
