Hi MJW, I would have thought a standard strap would have fitted it.  Mine does, my awning size is 970, and there must be about two metres spare strap left.  To be honest when I picked it up it didn't occur to me to ask about the size, but happily not a problem.

Why don't you pick one up to try on sale or return?

I had a Bradcot Sport from new and in the guarantee in specified in bold letters.... 'DO NOT USE A TIE DOWN STRAP WITH THIS AWNING'. I didn't know why so I contacted their customer services with my query. Apparently when the wing blows the awning moves slightly but the tie down straps stay fixed and due to this it rubs away the top of the awning which in time becomes faded and thin due to wear and tear which can lead to loose stiching. EventuaIly it will lead to either having it repaired or being scrapped. We now have a Dorema awning for our new van but this has sewn in plastic clips each side which are designed to accommodate individual front and rear tie down straps. My advice is to contact Bradcot on 01274 306811 and you will find out for yourself that these facts are correct.
