I know it might seem like a bit of a faff once you've sold your caravan, but if the CRIS people contact you to confirm that you've have genuinely sold it, please do get back to them as soon as possible. And if they ask you to double check your VIN, do please make every effort to properly check it before you phone them and say it's definitely yours.
Yep, there's a bit of a problem, though am hopeful that it won't become a major one! Sorry - that sounds a bit attention-seekingly cryptic and confusion would be a better description than problem :-) Will post about it if it doesn't get sorted soon, but I just wanted to give a global nudge about returning CRIS information in the faint hope that it might somehow reach the right person (who probably isn't even a member on here at all!).
I cris reg ours today and also purchased some extra security tag personal to our van, hope things go ok with ours when i called with the vin number the bloke on the phone did not say if all was ok,did they tell you there and then there was a problem?.

Stocky - there seems to be a series of different levels of checking. The dealer's check with CRIS shows no problem, my initial conversation with them and the paying of the money to register also revealed no problem, but then they do a few more checks before they send out the registration letter, and sometimes at that point the situation can get a bit more complicated.
