we have a full awaning on our van and with the dogs and other bits it usualy full.  our sons decied hes going to come camping with us now and again but would like his own space but doesnt fancy a tent so we have 2 ideas eather stick him in an anaxs or stick a small porch awning on the back of the caravan. as there there only one side front window on the none door side of the caravan it would be more privat. pitch size is not a  poroblme as we camp for our hobby on sites booked for our group like sports felds. if hes in an annxs he still has to pass us if hes sneeking young lads in or doing whatere 22 years old lads get up to  does anyone else use 2 awning

Your privacy means more stick him on the side out od the main awning then you will not be having to look at continously his left over clothes, boots, dirty washing etc etc.You will not even have to look into his bed space or he yours. Ah! freedom from the sights of what our sons leave and think nothing of doing so.

We saw someone with 2 awnings up in France last year.  They had a full awning up on the side where the door is then a large porch on the other side.  Worked a treat for them as they had 3 little boys so all the toys etc... went in the porch for them to play in & left the main awning as a living space.

Our old Sprite XL had awning rails on both sides of the van and eventually we ended up with two full awnings fitted, Was wonderful, the one that had the caravan door in it was used for reading, eating, boozing, and the other one for storage and to keep the sun beds BBQ and all the junk in. Worked great .
Go for it

We was going to use both our awnings for a trip to Northumberland, full awning on front with annexe for daughter and eating, porch awning on back for storage of cycles, however when we tried to get the awning tape into the back awning rail it was too small to get the tape through!!

Is this normal that they're different sizes?
