Have a look on all the windows to see if there is a CRIS number etched on each of the windows which is a mixture of letters and numbers about 17 long. If you identify the11th &12th numbers it should tell you the year of manufacture and as a guide this could be 9 & 7 which means it's a 1997 model etc. Yours CRIS number should begin with the letter 'T' as it's a Twin axle. Caravans that are single axle always begin with the letter 'S'.
plate as said above first two digits give the year model. post 1992 all windows will be etched with the vin number. if 1994 the tenth character of the vin gives model year.

------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.
The best thing is to go to the caravan and write the details down on a bit of paper as without that it's just a case of the blind leading the blind as they say. In your profile it states that you outfit is 'ABI Award Superstar 1992' so has this changed now?
The picture shows the developement of the award vans from the early 80's onward. The one on the left is early 80's till 1987, the one in the middle is 1988 to 1992, the one on the right is 1992 to 2000 (1992to 1996 is brown, 96 to 98 is freen and 99 onwards is blue ) Looking at the picture I would have thought that the van was in the style of the 1988 to 1992 models so your date of 1992 would be fine.

For a licence dated 1997 or later you must add together the plated max weight of the caravan and trailer, if the total is 3500 or less you can tow it. You may even tow a caravan with a MAM greater than the cars unladen mass the restriction was removed in 2013
No still the same caravan, but just wanted to know if the year they told me was the year of the caravan, they told me everything worked on the caravan and that was wrong so was just checking really.
Twin axle or single axle the Awards were all basically the same shape. So looking at yours it is the 1988 to 1992 model, there is no colouring below the lower rail and the cover over the wheel arch is a dead give away. You can not see it in your picture but the other distinguishing feature is the roof curve at the rear end.

The external side locker door is identical to the second photo as well as the wheel arches too which is also a giveaway which catagory of year the twin axle is in.
